Last night, I finished writing my speech for English class. I think that I did a really good job on it, and I hope that my English teacher thinks the same thing. It’s about 5 minutes in length, and all I really need to do now is to practice it so that I can have good eye contact. I’m a little nervous about doing my speech in front of everyone in my English class, but I know that I’ll be able to do it.
Well, the field trip definitely wasn’t as fun as I thought it was going to be. It lasted way too long, and I almost fell asleep a few times. There were some interesting stories that the man told us, but most of the stories were very boring, and his jokes weren’t funny. I’m just happy that I was able to skip Science to go see him.
With my English class today, we are hearing a Vietnam war veteran talk about what life was like during the Vietnam war. It sounds interesting because the Vietnam war seems like a very unique / strange war. I also get to miss Science to go see it too =D
On June 5th, I will get out of school for summer! I’m really excited about summer, and I’m happy that I won’t have to worry about going to bed to wake up for school or working on homework. It’s already definitely starting to warm up outside, and everything seems to be coming back to life from winter. Only a few more weeks to go until I’m out!
Today was my first full day back to school, and it actually went pretty great! All of the teachers who I thought would get mad at me for missing so many days of school were actually very nice and helpful to me.
